Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

At Ilonka Lighting, we are committed to providing you with the products you need, exactly when you need them.

On the rare occasion that you find yourself needing to return or exchange an item, we have outlined the necessary steps below to guide you through the process.

Before Installation

Please review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth installation process for your Ilonka Lighting products:

  • Product Verification: Before installation, confirm that the correct product has been delivered and that you are satisfied with its quality and design. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind once a product is installed.
  • Inspect for Damage: Examine the product(s) for any scratches, dents, or surface imperfections. We cannot issue refunds for products that are damaged after installation.
  • Component Check: Ensure that you have all necessary parts as outlined in the instructions.
  • Testing: Have your electrician test the light and any included globes before installing. Our warranty does not cover labor costs for installation, removal, or re-installation, nor do we accept liability for such costs.
  • Certified Installation: Use a licensed electrician for the installation and ensure they can provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety. Our warranty does not cover faults due to incorrect installation.
  • Color Variations: Be aware that different methods used to coat or color lighting products may affect their appearance under various lighting conditions. While we strive to provide accurate representations, we do not accept liability for minor color variations or changes in appearance under different lighting settings.

Following these steps can help ensure that your installation goes smoothly and your products function as expected.

Change of Mind Returns (14-Day Policy)

Ilonka Lighting provides store credit for returns based on a change of mind, available for up to 14 days after delivery, under these conditions:

  • Product Installation: The products must not have been installed.
  • Product Condition: Items must be in a condition suitable for resale.
    Packaging Condition: Product packaging must remain undamaged and suitable for resale.

Products need to be returned to our Lygon Street store either in person or via a courier to the address found below arranged at the customer’s expense.

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned items at our warehouse, we will issue a store credit, deducting a 20% restocking fee to cover the administrative costs and expenses involved in the order cancellation and handling.

Receiving Damaged Goods:

If you receive damaged goods, please notify us immediately at sales@ilonkalighting.com.au with photographic proof, and we will quickly organise a replacement item or part for you.

Warranty Information:

Coverage

  • Duration: All items come with a minimum 12-month warranty.
  • Exclusions: This warranty does not cover light bulbs and other consumable items.
  • Claims: For warranty claims, contact our support team via sales@ilonkalighting.com.au with your Order Number a detailed description and photo of the issue.

Custom Orders

  • Non-returnable: Custom orders are not eligible for returns.
  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to start processing custom orders.
  • Cancellation: If you choose to cancel a custom order, your deposit will be converted to store credit.

General Terms

  • Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for the shipping costs for returning items.
  • Store Credit: Store Credit expires within 1-Year after date of issue.
